Terms of circulation and use
The Private Subscriber Briefing is published by IVY Global Pte Ltd under its operating brand, The Legacy Briefs. These terms apply to each private briefing, note, attachment and related subscriber-only material that we send to you.
1. Acceptance
By requesting private circulation, ticking the acceptance box and confirming your subscription, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not request or confirm the subscription.
2. Personal permission to read
We give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to receive and read the subscriber-only material for your own information. Your subscription is personal to you and may not be transferred to another person.
3. Private circulation and confidentiality
You must keep subscriber-only material in private circulation. You must not forward, reproduce, publish, transmit, upload, sell, license, quote publicly or otherwise distribute it, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
You may share relevant extracts with your legal, tax, financial or other professional advisers where they need the material to advise you, provided that they are informed that it is private, use it only for that purpose and do not distribute it further. You remain responsible for sharing it on that basis.
This restriction does not apply to information that is already lawfully in the public domain through no breach of these terms, was lawfully known to you without a duty of confidentiality, was independently developed without reference to the subscriber-only material, or must be disclosed by law or a binding order. Where legally permitted, please notify us before a required disclosure.
4. No legal privilege or secure channel
Private circulation does not create legal professional privilege and email is not a guaranteed secure channel. Do not reply with passwords, account numbers, identity documents or other highly sensitive information. These terms protect our subscriber-only material; they do not require us to treat unsolicited information sent to us as confidential.
5. General information only
The briefing is general editorial information. It is not legal, tax, financial, investment, insurance or other professional advice, and it is not a recommendation or offer relating to any product or service. Receiving or reading it does not create an advisory, fiduciary, representative or client relationship. Obtain advice based on your own circumstances before acting.
6. Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the subscriber-only material remain with IVY Global Pte Ltd, The Legacy Briefs or the relevant rights holder. No ownership rights pass to you. Any permission not expressly given in these terms is reserved.
7. Accuracy and availability
We aim to publish careful, useful work, but information may become incomplete or outdated and may contain errors. We do not promise a particular publication schedule and may change, suspend or end the private briefing or an individual subscription at any time.
8. Ending your subscription
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email. Ending your subscription stops future circulation but does not end the restrictions that apply to subscriber-only material already received.
9. Personal data
We handle personal data in accordance with our Data Protection Notice. Kit and other service providers may process subscription data on our behalf to operate the mailing list and deliver the briefing.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future circulation. If a change is material, we may ask you to accept the updated terms before continuing to send subscriber-only material. The version shown when you subscribe applies until it is replaced.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms.
